Happy 4th Birthday Isabelle!!!

Isabelle is now four, and if you see her she will be sure to let you know that little fact. She is so proud to be 4 (going on 14). She and Camon woke early Saturday and came in our room. Camon said, "Is this Isabelle's Birthday?" I looked at her and she was grinning from ear to ear and said, "YES!" So we sang to her. Camon said that it was her day and so he was going to let her do anything she wanted. They were so cute watching cartoons that morning, he kept saying, "Is this what you want to watch?" It lasted all day, too. He was very nice to her. Now, when Sunday came it was back to the old ways. But she did tell him once, "But, it is the day AFTER my Birthday." He did not buy that thought. Anyway, we had her party at a local gymnastics place and I think that the adults had as much, if not more, fun as the kids did. It was a really cool Birthday party. She had a blast. She wore an LSU cheerleading outfit and thought she was in charge!! She never slowed down. There were trampolines, slides, obstacle courses, jump houses, a rock wall, and room to run and play. At one point, I thought about letting her open her gifts after because they were having so much fun, but about an hour into the fun, she asked me, "Momma, when do I get cake and presents?" She got so many cute things. She is a little rotten. But, she is worth it!! Happy Birthday Belle-Belle!!!!!

Snow Day!!!!

Last Friday, we had a snow storm. Now, to many people this was just a "little snow". But considering that I may have seen this much snow in this area two other times in my whole life, it was a storm. The kids were so excited. We got out of school early, bundled up in our winter gear and headed out in it. At first it was just exciting to touch it, catch it on our tongues, and throw it at each other. Then it turned to building snowmen, eating the snow, collecting enough to make ice cream, making snow angels, and yes riding the sled behind the 4-wheeler. We had a blast. I tried to explain to the kids what a rare occurance this was, but I do not think they were convinced. I think they expect that to happen every year from now on! Boy would that be nice. Luckily we did not lose electricity, like some of my friends a little farther north, so we could come in and warm up every once in a while. Of course, it was in the high 60's the next day (even though there was enough snow in the morning to sled some more). But, that was one day of pure fun that I will never forget!

After all of that fun, Isabelle crashed standing up!!

Pictures!!!

Here are a few pictures from our visit to the park a few weeks ago and of Isabelle in her bubble bath!

Camon's Decision !!

Well, Camon has continued to ask lots of questions about salvation and every Invitation that we sit through he begs to go down. So, last night Clint took him to talk to the Pastor. Clint said that he knew the answer to every question that was asked of him and he really understood that he wanted to be saved. However, we (and the Pastor) felt that he is so close but maybe not quite there. I mean he is so young. However, as the Pastor said and we agree no one knows his heart but him and God. And Camon truly believes that he got saved, so who are we to question it? When we left he kept telling Isabelle about asking Jesus in his heart and he said he could not wait to go to school and tell his teacher and friends. Everytime he talked about it, he could not wipe the smile off of his face and he went to sleep giggling and saying "I am so excited." I went to bed ashamed for being concerned about his age and even more ashamed that I am not as excited about my salvation as he is. I now am beginning to believe that it was as genuine as mine was all those years ago. Then Clint took him to school this morning and he said he was still talking about it. He does this thing where he daydreams and shakes his body. It drives us crazy but he says that he can not stop it when he is thinking about things. This morning, he told Clint that he was going to stop shaking because he had Jesus in his heart. And Isabelle spoke up and said, "Yea and don't get any sticks either." That is the way that the teacher warns them if they are not following the rules. Leave it up to Miss Priss to try to set him straight. Clint said then Camon said, " Yea. I think I will act better now because I asked Jesus in my heart." Clint's response to me was, " I guess we shall see." So, I am very excited. I have prayed for this event since before he was born. There is nothing that thrills my soul more than this. And who am I to say that it is too early?????? I know that he will continue to be raised in church and will constantly be learning more and more and only he will know in the years to come if this was the moment that he became a new creature!!!!! Continue praying for him! Jesus Saves!!!

Isabelle's Slumber party !

Saturday morning, Isabelle's friend Sydney called (actually her mom did) and asked if she could come play for the day. The play date turned into "Can she just spend the night?" Now, this is the same place that she stayed several months ago and kept them up wanting her momma. Finally at 6 am they called me to come get her. So, I was very doubtful that this would be a success. And was also a little puzzled that the mother would want to try it again, but whatever. Anyway she made it through it. As a matter of fact she had a lot of fun. They rode bikes (and she had a little wreck), jumped on the trampoline, played on the swing set, painted pictures, and then went to sleep and slept until 4:30 AM?!?!?!?! She was not crying for me however, they just woke up and wanted to play. Boy am I glad they were at her house and not mine. Anyway, so when I got there to pick her up for church, she had gotten into the makeup and had lipstick all over her face and bright blue eyeshadow ABOVE her eyebrows (not on her eyelids where it belongs). And of course we had about 5 minutes to get her ready for Sunday school. Needless to say, she was not in the best mood (she had been up since 4:30 - I would not be in the best mood either) and did not want me to wash the makeup off of her face or brush the tangles out of her hair. So, I started thinking," Well this is the child who went to childrens church in her slip, so who cares." So, I did what I could and left the rest to explain that she had spent the night away.
